POSCO VST WARRANTY POLICY – QUALITY COMMITMENT FROM INOX VIET NAM

1. General Introduction

Inox Viet Nam Production and Trading Co., Ltd. is an authorized distributor of POSCO VST Grade 1 stainless steel products manufactured at the POSCO VST Plant in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai. We are committed to delivering stainless steel products that meet international standards, accompanied by a transparent and reliable warranty policy to ensure customer rights and complete peace of mind during use.

This policy applies to products imported, stored, delivered, processed, or used at Inox Viet Nam warehouses, customer warehouses, processing facilities, or Inox Viet Nam factories.

2. Warranty Regulations for POSCO VST Grade 1 Products

Documentation & Technical Specifications

• POSCO VST Grade 1 products come with a Mill Test Certificate (CQ/MTC) verifying chemical composition and quality in accordance with the 200/300/400 series standards.
• All thickness tolerances are controlled within ±5%, in accordance with Posco VST factory standards.
• Any deviations outside these specifications are not covered under the warranty.

Surface Quality & Width Tolerance

• Surface defects such as scratches, waviness, dents, and marks are warrantied within standard limits for both slit-edge and mill-edge materials.
• Slit-edge width tolerance from 0–3 mm is fully covered under warranty.
• For mill-edge material, a width deviation from 0–35 mm is not warranted.
• For HL/No.4 surfaces: Side elongation from 4.1 mm or more is covered under warranty.

Warranty Period

• 03 months from the date the customer receives the goods.
• After this period, complaints will not be accepted. Inox Viet Nam will continue to provide all CQ documents to support origin verification if needed.

Eligibility Conditions

• Products must remain in the original coil condition, not processed, cut, or altered.
• Upon detecting defects, Inox Viet Nam will coordinate with internal QC and Posco VST QC to identify the root cause and propose the optimal solution (replacement, price reduction, or refund of the differential amount—if applicable).
• Weight discrepancy claims are accepted only when shortages are ≥0.3%, with original packaging, banding, and labeling intact.

3. Tolerances & PE/PVC Protective Film Warranty

Length Tolerance:

• Under 2 m: ±1 mm
• Above 2 m: ±2 mm

Thickness Tolerance:

• <1.0 mm: ±0.1 mm
• ≥1.0 mm: ±0.2 mm

PE/PVC Protective Film Warranty Period:

• Outdoor temperature <30°C: 60 days
• Outdoor temperature 30–38°C: 30 days

4. Complaint Handling Procedure

Customers must inspect the packaging and coil condition upon receipt. In the event of a defect, please:

• Stop all processing/production activities.
• Notify the Inox Viet Nam complaint department immediately.
• Provide full information, including: coil/pack ID, weight, grade, surface finish, specification, photos, and defect videos.

We will coordinate with Posco VST QC to verify quickly and offer the most appropriate solution.

5. POSCO VST Grade 2 Products

• Grade 2 products are secondary-quality materials with no CQ/MTC and no warranty on surface, edge, flatness, waviness, or cracks.
• Warranty applies only for wrong steel grade, incorrect thickness, incorrect width, or surface defects (except the first and last 20 meters of the coil).
• Weight discrepancy claims apply from ≥5 kg for coils weighing 100–1000 kg, and ≥0.5% for coils >1000 kg.

WARRANTY POLICY FOR IMPORTED GRADE-1 STAINLESS STEEL – COMMITMENT FROM INOX VIET NAM

1. General Introduction

Inox Viet Nam Production and Trading Co., Ltd. directly imports Grade-1 stainless steel products from reputable global corporations and manufacturers. All products undergo a strict quality inspection process and comply with international standards regarding quality, tolerances, and surface finish.

To protect customer rights, Inox Viet Nam issues this Warranty Policy for Imported Grade-1 Products, applicable to materials in original coil condition that are received or delivered at Inox Viet Nam warehouses, customer warehouses, processing sites, or Inox Viet Nam factories.

2. Warranty Scope and Technical Standards

Thickness & Width Tolerances

• Thickness tolerance follows factory standards: ±0–5%. Any deviation outside this range is not covered under warranty.
• Slit-edge width tolerance from 0–3 mm is fully covered under warranty.
• Mill-edge width deviation from 0–35 mm is not covered under warranty.
• Surface defects such as scratches, waviness, dents, roll marks, and abrasions are warrantied according to standard limits for both slit-edge and mill-edge materials.

Warranty Conditions

• Applicable only to materials in original coil condition, not processed or cut.
• Warranty does not apply to the first and last 20 meters of the coil.
• Warranty period: 03 months from the date the customer receives the goods. After this period, Inox Viet Nam will support customers by providing CQ/Mill Test Certificates and traceability documents, but will not accept warranty claims.
• In the event of a defect, Inox Viet Nam will coordinate with the manufacturer to investigate and determine the optimal solution, including price adjustment, product replacement, product return, or compensation, depending on the specific case.

3. Length Tolerance & PE/PVC Protective Film Warranty

Length Tolerance

• <2 m: ±1 mm
• ≥2 m: ±2 mm

Thickness Tolerance

• <1.0 mm: ±0.1 mm
• ≥1.0 mm: ±0.2 mm

PE/PVC Protective Film Warranty

• Temperature <30°C: 60 days
• Temperature 30–38°C: 30 days

4. Complaint Reception and Handling Procedure

To ensure fast and accurate processing, customers are requested to follow these steps:

1. Inspect the packaging and coil condition immediately upon receipt.

2. If any defect is detected:

• Stop all processing/production activities.
• Notify Inox Viet Nam’s Complaint Handling Department immediately.

3. Provide complete information, including:

• Coil ID / Sheet Pack ID
• Weight, grade, surface finish, specifications
• Photos and videos showing defect position, defect length, recurrence pattern, etc.

Inox Viet Nam will coordinate with internal QC and the manufacturer’s QC to identify the issue and provide an appropriate solution, such as price reduction, replacement, or compensation, where applicable.

Notes

• Warranty is not applicable once the material has been cut, processed, or altered.
• Weight discrepancy claims are accepted when shortages are ≥0.3%, provided the packaging, strapping, and labeling remain intact.
